HCMC – The police in Ha Nam Province have prosecuted and detained Truong Minh Hien, former vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, for allegedly violating regulations on natural resource exploitation at Hang Diem Mountain in the northern province.
The police also pressed the same charges against Vu Huu Song, ex-director of the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
The arrests were made today, February 15, after the provincial Police Department, in coordination with the provincial People’s Procuracy, collected evidence linked to violations of natural resource exploitation found at Hang Diem Mountain between 2017 and 2021.
Hang Diem Mountain is located in Lien Son Commune, Kim Bang District, Ha Nam Province.
Hien, 63, and Song, 64, were accused of irresponsibility that caused serious consequences.
The police are expanding an investigation to detect and handle organizations and individuals involved in the case.
