HCMC – The Ministry of Health this morning, February 8, confirmed four new locally-transmitted Covid-19 patients who are employees of the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCMC.

Specifically, they are all men aged from 28 to 41 and work as baggage handlers at the airport. They are in the same team with another baggage handler residing in Binh Duong Province that had been confirmed to be infected with Covid-19 earlier.

The four new cases include two residents of HCMC’s District 12, one of District 1 and one of Tan Binh District.

They are being quarantined and treated at the Cu Chi Field Hospital in HCMC’s outlying Cu Chi District.

With the four new patients, Vietnam has recorded 2005 Covid-19 cases, with 1,472 of them having recovered.
