HCMC – The French Consulate General in HCMC has launched a new exhibition, “France’s Solutions For Sustainable Mobility”, to celebrate the inauguration of Metro Line 3 in Hanoi and the first metro line in HCMC.
The exhibition, featuring 14 photos of sustainable transport vehicles, is open until March 2025 and displayed on the outer walls of the French Residence at 6 Le Duan Street, District 1, HCMC.
Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser, the French Consul General in HCMC, noted that transportation is a leading source of greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution in many countries, including France. To address this, France has prioritized green transitions in transport to create more efficient, affordable, and cleaner solutions.
France has over 120 years of experience in road, air, and maritime transport. French companies are at the forefront of developing transportation technologies and have implemented these solutions worldwide.
Pavillon-Grosser also emphasized that Vietnam could reach its goal of net-zero emissions by 2050 through sustainable transport solutions. France is prepared to share its expertise and help implement international standards in Vietnam’s transport sector.
The exhibition includes presentations from contractors involved in the metro projects in Hanoi and HCMC, including Artelia, Systra, and Bureau Veritas. These companies shared their experiences with large-scale transportation projects and urban development strategies.
