HCMC – Domestic fuel prices fell by around VND300-750 per liter or kilogram starting today, February 21, according to an announcement jointly issued by the ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance.
RON95-III gasoline and E5 RON92 bio-gasoline now sell for VND23,440 and VND22,540 per liter, with each down by VND320.
Diesel oil costs VND20,860 per liter, down by VND700, and kerosene is down by VND750 to VND20,840 per liter. Meanwhile, heavy fuel oil rose by VND620 to VND14,250 per kilogram.
This time, the two ministries decided to impose the same surcharges of VND600 and VND200 for each liter of diesel oil and kerosene sold, respectively, to replenish the national fuel price stabilization fund. Heavy fuel oil and gasoline products are exempt from the surcharge.
Local fuel traders are not allowed to tap the fund this time.
