HCMC – The German Business Association (GBA) has re-elected Alexander Ziehe of Viessmann Vietnam as chairman of its board of directors for a second consecutive term in 2025.
The announcement was made during the GBA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on January 20 in both Hanoi and HCMC.
The AGM, which celebrated the GBA’s 30th anniversary, was attended by German Ambassador Helga Margarete Barth and over 130 members.
Ambassador Barth commended the GBA for its key role in strengthening trade relations between Germany and Vietnam and praised its contributions over the years.
During the meeting, the GBA reflected on its 2024 achievements and shared its strategic vision for 2025. Members elected a 14-member board of directors, including representatives from AHK Vietnam, Allianz Partners, and other companies.
Chairman Ziehe expressed his gratitude for the trust and support of the members. “We are active partners in Vietnam’s growth, shaping a sustainable and innovative economy,” he said. “Our vision for 2025 is to accelerate these efforts and make a lasting impact.”
Established in 1995, the GBA is among the largest foreign business associations in Vietnam with over 400 members. The association continues to play a crucial role in fostering economic ties between Germany and Vietnam.
