DANANG – Gia Lai Province has launched its 2026 investment promotion program, calling for investors from Asia, Europe and the United States to join 170 projects across energy, technology, tourism and urban development.

The program includes a plan to directly approach key overseas markets and to hold an investment promotion conference in March 2026.

Renewable energy is the largest segment in the project list. The Hon Trau Wind Power Plant, Phase 1, is the biggest proposal, with a designed capacity of 750 megawatts and total investment of VND48.37 trillion.

In manufacturing, the province is seeking investors for a next-generation semiconductor plant at the Becamex VSIP Industrial Park. The project, aimed at serving 5G infrastructure and electric vehicles, has an estimated investment of VND4.1 trillion.

Gia Lai is also promoting projects in tourism and urban development, including the Ayun Ha Lake eco-tourism complex. The project covers about 120 hectares and is expected to attract around VND1.5 trillion in investment.

On investment outreach, the province plans to work with Sakai and Izumisano Cities in Japan, and the Yongsan District in South Korea. It also aims to connect with foreign business groups such as EuroCham, AmCham and Kocham.

According to the provincial government, Gia Lai plans to leverage its economic zones and logistics infrastructure to attract manufacturing shifts from Europe and Southeast Asia.

The March 2026 investment promotion conference is expected to provide a forum for direct dialogue between provincial leaders and investors and to introduce the latest incentive policies under the 2024 Land Law and newly effective investment regulations.
