HCMC – The four-day Belgian Culture and Food Festival, or B.Fest 2023, recently took place in Haiphong City, offering diverse Belgian culinary and cultural experiences to local residents and tourists.
This event was co-organized by the Embassy of Belgium and the DEEP C Industrial Zones between October 6 and 9.
The festival aimed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Belgium, according to Karl Van Den Bossche, Belgian ambassador to Vietnam.
DEEP C is the largest Belgian company in Vietnam, with a 25-year history of development. It is currently a leading developer and operator of an industrial zone and port complex in Haiphong.
Le Khac Nam, vice chairman of the People’s Committee of Haiphong City, said the event was an opportunity for visitors and locals to learn about Belgian culture and food.
The event was expected to enhance bilateral cooperation in economic ties and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, particularly through joint initiatives between Haiphong and Belgium’s localities.
The Belgian Culinary and Cultural Festival 2023 was the third edition to be held in Vietnam, featuring a range of entertaining activities, including a music concert, a fireworks display, and a flair bartending demonstration.
