HCMC – Hanoi City today, November 23, began administering the Pfizer Covid vaccine to children aged between 15 and 17, according to the Hanoi Department of Health.
The National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology has allocated over 304,000 Pfizer vaccine doses to the city, the local media reported.
These doses were distributed to 30 districts in the city to be given as the first dose to children aged 15-17 who are living and studying in Hanoi City. The districts were told to complete administering the first doses by November 25. Younger children will be inoculated after the vaccination drive.
As scheduled, Hanoi City will vaccinate all children aged between 12 and 17 against Covid-19 in the fourth quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2022.
Among some 792,000 children getting vaccinated, over 519,540 children are from 12 to 16 and 272,370 others are from 16 to under 18.
