Hanoi City tourism tops 28 million visitors in 10 months

HCMC — Hanoi City has attracted more than 28.2 million visitors in the first 10 months of 2025, surpassing the city’s full-year figure in 2024, according to the Hanoi Department of Tourism.

The number represents 91% of the city’s annual target. In October, the capital city has welcomed around 2.27 million tourists, including 695,000 international arrivals and 1.6 million domestic travelers, up 18% and 5% year-on-year, respectively, reported the Government news website (baochinhphu.vn).

Tourism revenue in October has reached VND9.93 trillion, up 12% from a year earlier. The average hotel occupancy rate was 60%, a slight rise of 0.5 percentage point.

So far this year, international arrivals have totaled nearly 6.2 million, while tourism revenue is estimated at VND110 trillion, increasing 22% and 20% year-on-year, respectively.

Hanoi City aims to attract 31 million visitors in all of 2025, including 7.5 million international arrivals, accounting for more than 30% of Vietnam’s expected total. The city targets VND130 trillion in tourism revenue.

Hanoi City has 3,761 lodging facilities with over 71,000 guest rooms, including 85 hotels and serviced apartments rated from one to five stars, offering nearly 12,000 rooms.

The city also has 58 certified service establishments catering to tourists, such as restaurants, shopping centers, entertainment venues, and wellness facilities.
