HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked Hanoi, HCMC and Binh Duong Province to study plans to allow people in densely populated areas that cannot ensure compliance with social distancing measures to register to go back to their hometowns.
The arrangement of trips to take people back according to their wishes must be well coordinated among the localities and in compliance with anti-virus regulations, according to a dispatch that the Government Office sent to the authorities of the three localities, where the latest Covid outbreak is raging.
Besides this, PM Chinh urged these three localities to review and address issues linked to medical and food support for local residents in their areas and to ensure the continuous implementation of social welfare policies and Covid safety measures for people during the stay-at-home period.
The head of the Government also ordered them to closely monitor the provision of protective gear for frontline medical workers, volunteers and local Covid response teams, among others.
