HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged relevant agencies to weigh developing a road between Hanoi and Vientiane and a rail link between Vientiane and Ha Tinh Province’s Vung Ang.
Speaking at a meeting in Hanoi on October 4 with Vientiane Mayor Atsaphangthong Siphandone, PM Chinh proposed building the Hanoi-Vientiane expressway and the Vientiane-Vung Ang railway.
The two projects will help enhance traffic and economic connectivity between the two nations.
He also emphasized the need for both sides to maintain close coordination and facilitate exchanges at all levels in various management and administration activities.
PM Chinh highlighted potential areas of cooperation in the tourism, agriculture, services and manufacturing sectors, indicating the possibility for mutually beneficial partnerships in these domains.
