HCMC – The Hanoi People’s Committee has requested the city’s competent agencies to continue issuing business licenses for eligible karaoke bars to help prevent them from suspending their operations, reported the local media.
Pursuant to the document signed by Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hanoi City People’s Committee Le Hong Son, the Department of Culture and Sports and city authorities will continue issuing business licenses for karaoke bars that have satisfied inspection requirements.
The department will guide local authorities on the procedure of issuance and amendment of business licenses, which will be publicized.
The department was also asked to report the results of handling licensing issues to the Hanoi People’s Committee before April 15.
Statistics showed that as of April 2023, around 400 karaoke bars in the city that had satisfied all administrative requirements were still suspended from operations due to several minor fire prevention and safety defects.
