HCMC – Subsidized bus routes in Hanoi will operate at full capacity starting tomorrow, July 15, as the Covid pandemic in the capital city was brought under control and the daily demand of commuters has been rising.
The municipal Department of Transport has approved the Hanoi Management Center of Public Transport’s proposal to resume subsidized bus services at full capacity.
The Hanoi Management Center of Public Transport was told to coordinate with bus operators and the relevant units to offer the services in line with prevailing regulations.
The management center also has to ramp up efforts to monitor the bus service quality, the departure time of the buses, and the travel demand.
It has to check and tackle bus operating units with an insufficient number of drivers and vehicles.
On March 16 this year, due to the complicated development of the pandemic, the management center, in coordination with bus operators, began offering the bus services with a 15% reduction in capacity.
