HCMC – As many as 260 tour programs and 280,000 tickets with discounts of 10%-70% will be offered to tourists as part of the HCMC’s program to stimulate domestic tourism demand, set to be held from June until the end of the year.
The municipal Tourism Department and the HCMC Tourism Association on June 9 jointly organized a conference to boost domestic tourism activities in the city.
Through this program, tourists can enjoy trips to various destinations in the city at discounted prices and avail of attractive services including tours to hi-tech agro farms and the Thanh An island off the city’s Can Gio District to participating in cooking classes.
They can also take a city tour on double-decker buses at a 50% discount on the fare or get 34% off on waterbus tours to the Ao Dai Museum and the BCR tourist site in District 9.
In addition, 12 tourist attractions and entertainment centers will offer discounts of 20%-50% on entrance fees.
The program recorded the participation of 40 lodging facilities that have registered to offer special deals to tourists traveling in groups or with their families.
Restaurants and transport operators also participated in the program. Local low-cost carrier Vietjet announced 2.5 million flight tickets priced from VND8,000 each from June 9 to 11.
At the event, a tourism stimulus website of the city was introduced and put into service. Tourists can look up complete information about tours and promotional deals offered by travel firms participating in the program at www.kichcaudulichtphcm.vn.
