HCMC pledges to enhance ties with Wallonie-Bruxelles

HCMC – HCMC will strengthen bilateral cooperation with the Wallonie-Bruxelles region of Belgium in terms of clean energy, biology, healthcare, education, and digital transformation among others.

HCMC Vice Chairman Ngo Minh Chau said at a meeting on October 20 with Pierre-Yves Jeholet, minister-president of the Government of the Federation Wallonia-Brussels, that HCMC is committed to creating favorable conditions for international investors, particularly Wallonie-Bruxelles firms.

He thanked the Belgian government and people for their support during the fourth wave of Covid-19 in Vietnam, particularly in HCMC.

Minister-President Pierre-Yves Jeholet, who is paying a visit to Vietnam, pointed out that businesses in the Wallonie-Bruxelles region intend to invest in Vietnam and HCMC in particular, citing their capabilities in developing biological technology and pharmaceutical chemistry.

Additionally, Wallonie-Bruxelles and HCMC could step up their cooperation in areas such as sustainable energy and wastewater treatment, smart farming and food processing.
