HCMC rejects rumors of stricter lockdown from July 15

Must read

HCMC – The HCMC Party Committee’s Board for Propaganda and Education has rejected rumors on social media that the city will introduce tougher lockdown measures from 0 a.m. on July 15, which may result in a lack of food, and that some city leaders have been infected with Covid-19.

According to the board, the city’s leaders are striving to take more aggressive measures to bring the pandemic under control and ensure social welfare, sufficient food and essential goods supplies for local residents.

The board called on residents to stay calm and seek out accurate information about the pandemic through the mainstream media, and not to spread fake news.

The city’s competent agencies will impose strict penalties on those spreading fake news, causing public concern.

HCMC’s 15-day stay-at-home order in line with the prime minister’s Directive 16 was issued on July 9 to stop the fast spread of Covid-19.

Due to the rumors of tougher lockdown on social media, many people today, July 14, have flocked to supermarkets and retail outlets to stock up on essential goods.
