HCMC – Some 200 passengers at the Tan Son Nhat airport are expected to be tested on the first day of 2022.

From Jan 1, 2022, the medical forces will coordinate with the Import and Export Administration at the Tan Son Nhat airport to conduct rapid tests for all those ariving the airport.

If passengers have a positive test result, they will be isolated according to current regulations.

HCMC has assigned Field Hospital No.12 to receive and treat all guests who are positive with Covid-19. These cases will be sampled and gene sequencing will be done to monitor the Omicron variant.

For people who have been fully vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19 in the first three days since they entered the country, they must self-monitor their health at their place of accommodation and not maintain contact with people around. On the third day, they should undergo a RT-PCR test. If the result is negative, they should continue monitoring their health until the end of day 14.

For guests who have not been vaccinated or have been injected with insufficient doses, they must isolate at their accommodation for seven days and undergo an RT-PCR test on the 3rd and 7th days. If the result is negative, monitoring should continue until the end of day 14.

In the case of children, the elderly, pregnant women, and people with underlying diseases, they need to be isolated with caregivers.
