HCMC – The HCMC Department of Transport has sent the city government an investment plan to upgrade and turn the existing 15.3-kilometer My Phuoc-Tan Van road into a section of HCMC Beltway No. 3.

Opened to traffic in 2015, the road serves as an arterial link between HCMC and neighboring Binh Duong Province through National Highways 1, 1K, and 13.

The six-lane My Phuoc-Tan Van road has a couple of intersections that cannot ensure smooth traffic due to intersection conflicts when HCMC Beltway No. 3 is put into operation in 2026.

The HCMC Department of Transport proposed upgrading the road seamlessly with HCMC Beltway 3, which is under construction.

As per the proposal previously made by Binh Duong, the upgrade of the road would facilitate traffic on HCMC Beltway No. 3 and need an estimated VND28.3 trillion.
