HCMC – Nguyen Thi Hong, former vice chairwoman of the HCMC People’s Committee, and Le Duy Minh, director of the city’s Department of Finance, have been expelled from the Communist Party of Vietnam for violations of Party rules and State laws.
The Secretariat of the Party Central Committee (PCC) made the decisions today, September 6, after reviewing their cases, which involved serious breaches, including failures in leadership duties and violations of anti-corruption regulations.
The PCC also decided to expel Ngo Ngoc Duc, former Party secretary and chairman of the People’s Council of Hoa Binh Province, for violations related to projects developed by Thuan An Group JSC in the province.
The expulsions follow recommendations from the Central Inspection Commission, which highlighted the officials’ responsibility for actions that caused significant public dissatisfaction and damaged the Party’s reputation.
The PCC also issued a warning to the Standing Committee of Bac Giang Province for related violations.
