HCMC – The Central Committee for Prevention and Control of Corruption and Negativism yesterday, May 16, announced a decision to inspect the Ministry of Health.

Le Minh Tri, head of the Supreme People’s Procuracy of Vietnam, who serves as chief of the inspection team at the Ministry of Health, said the inspection would look into how the ministry’s Party committee has discovered, transferred, responded and resolved signs of criminal offenses. The probe will also deal with areas where corruption and negativism can happen, assessments of medical assets, corruption and power abuse cases.

The inspection is aimed at detecting shortcomings, irregularities and signs of graft at the two ministries, and propose measures for dealing with them.

On the same day, the Central Committee for Prevention and Control of Corruption and Negativism also announced separate decisions to inspect the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Executive Board of the Quang Binh Province Party Committee.
