HCMC – The Ministry of Justice will apply artificial intelligence to review legal documents, aiming to detect overlaps and inconsistencies and improve accuracy, reported the Government news website (baochinhphu.vn).
The directive was issued by Justice Minister Nguyen Hai Ninh at an April 6 meeting ahead of the first session of a steering committee overseeing a comprehensive review of legal normative documents.
AI tools will support reading, comparison and identification of conflicting provisions, helping shorten processing time, according to the report.
The minister also called for accelerating the development of a legal database and coordinating with relevant agencies to deploy AI in the review process.
He assigned the ministry to work with units under the Ministry of Finance to issue guidance on funding to avoid delays due to resource constraints.
A separate communication plan will be developed for the review, including a dedicated section on the national legal portal to provide information.
The review involves a large workload and tight deadlines, requiring close coordination among agencies, with the goal of removing legal bottlenecks and improving the regulatory framework.
