CAN THO – Loc Troi Agricultural Products JSC, a member of Loc Troi Group JSC, has shipped over 4,500 tons of specialty rice, worth over US$3 million, to choosy markets this year.
A representative of Loc Troi told The Saigon Times on February 17 that the batches of fragrant rice, glutinous rice and white and brown rice had been exported to Italy, France, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines and Kuwait, since early 2022. Each ton of rice was priced at some US$666.
The rice met all requirements for food safety and quality set by these markets, according to the firm.
Loc Troi Agricultural Products JSC runs a closed production line, from seeding and harvesting to transporting rice to its 24 factories for drying and grinding steps and delivering orders.
With its capacity of drying 26,000 tons of rice and grinding over 22,000 tons each day, Loc Troi Agricultural Products JSC is capable to meet large orders throughout the year.
In 2021, the firm contributed over VND4 trillion to Loc Troi Group’s total revenues, with its contribution from rice exports amounting to more than VND1 trillion.
Loc Troi Group this year has signed agreements with farm produce suppliers and firms to trade and produce two million tons of rice, worth over VND12 trillion.
