HCMC – The Loc Troi Group Joint Stock Company’s (LTG) rice has hit the shelves of Carrefour and Leclerc, the two leading supermarket chains in France.

LTG said rice with the brand “Cơm ViệtNam Rice” made its first appearance at Carrefour stores on September 6 and at Leclerc on September 2.

The event marked Loc Troi’s foray into the French rice market through these two distribution systems with nearly 800 hypermarkets and over 3,000 supermarkets and convenience stores across France.

To get accredited by Carrefour and Leclerc, the products of Loc Troi satisfy not only the highest requirements of the European market on cultivation and use of plant protection products, but also sustainable criteria and provisions on human and environmental protection in large-scale agricultural production.

This time, the batch under the brand, “Cơm ViệtNam Rice”, is fragrant sticky rice, manufactured from Jasmine 85.

Loc Troi will be motivated to bring Vietnamese-branded products to Vietnamese overseas and international consumers, and make its key rice products present at supermarkets across Europe in the coming time, said a representative of the group.

In the past two years, the group has exported over 80,000 tons of rice to this market. The batches exported to Europe were normally ordered 4-12 months in advance to ensure that the group would have sufficient time to prepare and process rice on its own premises in line with safe and scientific cultivation practices.
