HCMC – Mang Den is set to be transformed into a premier international cultural, resort, and tourism center, positioning it among the top tourism destinations in the Central Highlands region.

On June 4, a working team from the Ministry of Construction and other ministries met with Kon Tum Province to conduct an on-site survey of the area designated for the master plan of Mang Den Tourist Area in Kon Plong District, with a vision to 2045.

Central and local leaders have directed the development of Mang Den Tourist Area in alignment with the “Two development corridors – Three centers – Four urban areas” strategy.

Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Ngoc Sam, vice chairman of the Kon Tum People’s Committee, emphasized the need to build a development plan for Mang Den as this will lay a foundation for the management and development of this hilly tourism area.

The planning aims to turn Mang Den into an attractive tourist destination with specialized tourist products combined with a diverse natural landscape, biodiversity, and traditional culture, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for local residents.

Nguyen Van Tuong, vice minister of Construction, requested coordination between relevant ministries, departments, and local authorities in completing the planning before it is submitted to the prime minister for consideration and approval.

Boasting a moderate climate and beautiful nature, the Mang Den eco-tourism site attracted one million tourists last year.
