HCMC – Massage parlors and spas in HCMC must meet 10 Covid-19 safety criteria, as stipulated by the HCMC government, to be allowed to resume their operations.

They must register for and use QR codes for health declaration, and arrange areas for customers and employees to wash their hands and have their body temperature checked.

Employees of massage parlors and spas must be fully vaccinated, have received one Covid vaccine dose for at least 14 days or have recovered from Covid-19, the local media reported.

They are required to wear face masks while at work and replace face masks and wash their hands after serving a customer and when needed.

Meanwhile, customers must show proof of a negative result from a Covid-19 test, in addition to Covid vaccination requirements.

In addition, massage parlors and spas must ensure a minimum area of four square meters per person and a minimum distance of one meter between two customers.

Beds, chairs and equipment must be disinfected after a customer is served. Furthermore, door handles, elevator buttons and toilets must be disinfected at least twice a day.

Owners of the parlors must strictly comply with anti-Covid measures, publicize the maximum number of customers they can serve at a time and ensure the number of customers does not exceed the registered figure.
