HCMC – Nguyen Hue Flower Street in central HCMC officially opened on January 27, welcoming thousands of visitors to celebrate the Lunar New Year of 2025.
The 22nd annual event, themed “A Prosperous Nation, Joyous Springtime,” runs from January 27 (the 28th day of the final lunar month) to February 2 (the fifth day of the first lunar month). The opening ceremony featured fireworks and attracted large crowds of residents and tourists.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, vice chairwoman of the HCMC People’s Committee, called the flower street a cultural symbol of the city’s dynamism, creativity, and sense of community during the Lunar New Year.
The event also marks significant anniversaries, including the 95th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s founding, the 80th anniversary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Vietnam’s south and the reunification of the country.

This year, the Nguyen Hue Flower Street continues to be adorned with distinctive floral arrangements and art pieces from the consulates of various countries in HCMC. A total of 10 booths showcasing artistic flower decorations and national cultures represent the U.S., the Netherlands, Laos, Italy, Indonesia, South Korea, Russia, China, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.
This collaboration enriches the 22nd edition of the flower street, marking the Year of the Snake with a colorful and diverse atmosphere and embodying the spirit of global friendship and cultural exchange.
