HCMC – Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2026 closed on February 22, having drawn more than 1.8 million visitors, but two horse mascot installations will remain on display until March 22, according to organizers.
Cleanup began on the evening of February 22, the sixth day of the Lunar New Year holiday. The horse mascots at the entrance and exit gates will stay open to the public for sightseeing and photography for one month after the event’s closure.
Organizers reported that the eight-day event attracted over 1.8 million visits. In 2026, the event expanded beyond Nguyen Hue Walking Street to include additional installations at the Central Park in Binh Duong Ward and Quang Trung Park in Vung Tau Ward. Combined attendance across all three locations exceeded 2.2 million visitors.
Held under the theme “Spring Convergence – Stepping Forward with Confidence,” the event was designed by Vietnam August Star JSC, which has worked on the flower street for years.
The exhibition was structured as a cultural journey, with large-scale displays linked to Vietnamese legends, folklore and history. Featured installations included the image of Saint Giong’s horse, a space inspired by southern cai luong (southern opera), and themes reflecting academic tradition.
Projection mapping technology was introduced for the first time, with 22 shows built around the five elements—metal, wood, water, fire and earth. An augmented reality horse version was also made available via the TikTok app.
The 2026 edition marked the 23rd year of the annual flower street, which has served more than 26 million visitors since its inception.
