Must read

HCMC – The northern city of Haiphong allowed non-essential services to resume operations from yesterday, June 21, except for bars, clubs, karaoke and massage parlors, said a local official.

Nguyen Van Tung, chairman of the city’s government and head of the city’s anti-Covid-19 steering committee, ordered the operators of the services to strictly comply with anti-virus measures.

The city’s government tasked the district-level authorities and relevant agencies with ramping up efforts to monitor these operators’ compliance with Covid-19 preventive measures. Violators will be forced to suspend their businesses.

The local competent forces were also told to impose fines on people violating the mask mandate in public places.

In addition, the city’s Department of Health was asked to team up with the management board of the Haiphong Economic Zone and the Department of Industry and Trade to implement large-scale testing and work out vaccination plans for industrial park workers and employees.

Up to now, Haiphong has reported no new community infections for 21 days during the fourth coronavirus wave, which began on April 27.
