One million more Covid vaccine doses donated by U.S. arrive in Hanoi

HCMC – An additional one million doses of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine donated by the United States arrived in Hanoi City today, November 17, according to the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam.

The United States has given Vietnam over 16 million doses of Covid vaccines, the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam said in a post on Facebook.

“The United States and Vietnam will continue to work as partners in combating Covid-19 and building back better,” said the U.S. embassy.

Earlier on November 6, 1.3 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine donated by the United States through the Covax Facility arrived in Hanoi City. A day later, on November 7, 1.2 million more Pfizer doses were shipped to HCMC.

The United States has committed to providing Vietnam with over 30.2 million vaccine doses to help the latter put the pandemic under control, the local media reported.
