HCMC – Vietnam’s Covid-19 death toll has reached 10, with one more death announced this afternoon. The deceased is a 67-year-old woman of Danang, the country’s coronavirus hotspot, according to Nguyen Truong Son, Deputy Minister of Health.
She died of myeloma, diabetes, sepsis and Covid-19.
On August 3, the woman was sent to Danang Hospital for emergency treatment and quarantine as a suspected case of Covid-19. The following day, she was intubated and received continuous blood purification.
She was pronounced dead at 6:50 p.m. on August 5 after doctors failed to resuscitate her.
Testing results coming out late on August 6, confirmed that she was infected with Covid-19.
