HCMC – The steering committee for Covid-19 infection prevention and control of Binh Duong Province reported on August 25 that a record 12,115 patients had been discharged from hospitals in the southern province.
The province’s total recoveries in the current fourth coronavirus wave have reached 44,853, the local media reported.
On the same day, the province recorded 4,129 new cases, including 2,128 in the community and 1,405 others in areas under lockdown, accounting for 51.5% and 34%, respectively.
In addition, 484 cases were found in temporarily isolated areas and 112 others at medical centers.
The province now has more than 15,600 Covid-19 patients under treatment.
In the current outbreak, Binh Duong has had 81,182 Covid-19 cases, of whom 670 died.
The provincial anti-Covid steering committee has asked departments, agencies, districts, towns and cities to continue strictly complying with anti-pandemic measures.
The large-scale testing drive must be conducted quickly to detect those infected with Covid-19 at the earliest, and isolate and treat them effectively. Reducing Covid-19 deaths is the first priority of the province.
Pop-up healthcare stations should be established soon, firstly in wards practicing social distancing.
