Passengers entering Vietnam required to provide residence addresses

Must read

HCMC – Passengers onboard international commercial flights to Vietnam are required to show a certificate indicating they are free of Covid-19 and residence addresses, according to the Ministry of Transport.

A representative of the ministry told VnExpress on September 16 that it had ordered local air carriers to sell tickets only to passengers who hold visas and provide detailed residence addresses.

Passengers must have their body temperature checked before boarding aircraft to Vietnam and provide certificates proving they are not infected with Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, within three days from the date of departure.

From September 15, the Government allowed the resumption of international commercial flights between Vietnam and some countries.

However, relevant departments and agencies, localities and airlines need some time to come up with a plan to receive passengers, conduct Covid-19 tests and estimate quarantine costs, and then announce flight schedules in detail, according to the representative of the Ministry of Transport.

Tens of thousands of foreign experts and Vietnamese workers are expected to enter the country, so the competent agencies are preparing quarantine facilities and mobilizing monitoring staff to serve them, the representative said.
