HCMC – Saigon Tiep Thi, a publication of the Saigon Times Group, will collaborate with the Tourism Department of Thua Thien-Hue Province to organize a photo exhibition promoting the country’s heritage and tourism.

The “Heritage and You” exhibition will take place at the Song Huong (Perfume River) Theater in Hue City from November 18 to 20.

The exhibition will feature 50 photos, divided into three categories: Heritage and You – Together with Vietnam’s Tourism, Vietnam’s Impressions and Hue’s Identities.

The Vietnam’s Impressions category will introduce the winning photos of the “Top 7 Vietnam” photo contest held by Saigon Tiep Thi. The competition selected the most impressive attractions in Vietnam, including the top seven attractions with breathtaking sceneries, the top seven venues with beautiful city views at night, the top seven marvelous waterfalls, the top seven magnificent mountain passes and the top seven destinations with extravagant aerial views.

The Hue’s Identities category will enable visitors to learn about the traditional culture of Hue City, while the Heritage and You – Together with Vietnam’s Tourism category will feature photos of the country’s heritage sites that readers of Saigon Tiep Thi submitted from July to October 2021.

Through this exhibition, the government of Thua Thien Hue Province and Saigon Tiep Thi aim to honor cultural heritage and help the tourism sector recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.

The “Heritage and You” exhibition is part of the 22nd Vietnam Film Festival jointly organized by the Vietnam Cinema Department and the Culture and Sports Department of Thua Thien-Hue Province.

The photo exhibition is supported by Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam Auto Joint Venture Joint Stock Company.

With the slogan “Building a cultural, modern and humanitarian film industry”, this year’s event brings together a variety of cinematic works describing life from different perspectives. It is also an opportunity for the central province of Thua Thien-Hue to introduce its rich culture, historical relics, famous places of interest, as well as Hue – the city of unique heritage, festival and tourism.

For the first time, the Vietnam Film Festival will be virtually organized. Based on the Covid-19 pandemic situation, several events will be held both online and offline.

According to the organizer, a total of 128 films of 42 units will be screened at the festival, comprising 26 feature films, 56 documentaries, 15 science films, and 31 cartoons.

Besides the “Heritage and You” exhibition, the 22nd Vietnam Film Festival will comprise other side events such as the “Thua Thien-Hue — destination of filmmakers” and an ao dai (Vietnam’s traditional long dress) show.
