HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has directed relevant units to expedite land clearance for projects of national importance, including expressways.

In a recent directive, the Government has tasked the Ministry of Transport and related units with prioritizing the preparation and implementation of tasks for expressway projects in 2024. The projects in focus include Hoa Binh-Moc Chau, Dau Giay-Tan Phu, Tan Phu-Bao Loc, Bao Loc-Lien Khuong, HCMC-Moc Bai, and Ninh Binh-Nam Dinh-Thai Binh-Hai Phong.

To ensure these key projects are completed on schedule, the PM emphasized the need for accelerated land clearance. The goal is to complete the handover of land for the eastern North-South expressway project, two beltway projects, and three East-West axis road projects by the second quarter of this year.

The provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hau Giang, and Kien Giang are required to complete the construction of resettlement areas before June 30. Meanwhile, Ha Tinh, Phu Yen, and Khanh Hoa must speed up the relocation of technical infrastructure.

Additionally, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Quang Ngai should focus on delivering the remaining areas for the eastern North-South expressway project and other key projects within the 2021-2025 period.

The directive also specified that Dong Nai should increase manpower and direct relevant agencies to expedite the approval of compensation plans, resolve complaints, and construct resettlement areas for the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau and HCMC Beltway No. 3 projects by the end of June.
