PouYuen Vietnam resumes operations

Must read

HCMC – PouYuen Vietnam Co., Ltd, has returned to business after two days of suspension, adopting various measures to minimize the risk of coronavirus infections spreading on site.

The HCMC Center for Disease Control on April 16 worked with the Binh Tan District authority to inspect the firm again after it closed its doors to fix its shortcomings in compliance with Covid-19 infection prevention regulations.

The inspection results announced by the center later that evening showed that PouYuen Vietnam had reduced its staff by 30% and the number of buses transporting its workers by 90%. Besides this, the firm has erected multiple partitions in the dining room.

The risk level of infections at the firm now stands at 42%, considered a low level, so it was allowed to resume operations, according to the center.

The HCMC Center for Disease Control will continue to monitor the firm’s production activities as well as its efficiency in applying Covid-19 prevention measures, in line with public health directives.

Earlier, the HCMC government ordered PouYuen Vietnam to halt operations on April 14 and 15 as part of the city’s efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. The firm had failed to comply with public health directives and other safety requirements to stem the spread of the disease.
