PV Power gains VND24.4 trillion in Jan-Oct revenue

HCMC – PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power), whose POW shares are traded on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, reported total revenue of VND24.4 trillion in January-October.

POW reported that its electricity output in October reached around 1.3 billion kWh. As a result, electricity sales revenue hit VND2.2 trillion, mainly from Ca Mau 1, Ca Mau 2 and Vung Ang 1 power plants.

Since the beginning of the year, POW’s cumulative electricity output neared 12.7 billion kWh, generating about VND24.4 trillion in revenue. Of which, Ca Mau 1 and Ca Mau 2 power plants contributed VND9.3 trillion, while Vung Ang 1 contributed VND8.7 trillion.

On the stock market, POW remained unchanged at VND11,700 today, October 8, with around 4.4 million shares changing hands.

The VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange lost 7.19 points, or 0.57%, against the previous day, closing at 1,252.56 points, with 125 winners and 254 losers.

Around 555.5 million shares worth VND13.9 trillion were transacted on the market, up by 11% in volume and value compared to the previous session. Block deal transactions contributed around VND1.4 trillion to the overall value.

Contrary to the overall market trend, VTP marked its second consecutive surge, briefly hitting the ceiling and closing with a notable 6.5% gain to reach a new high of VND108,700. The liquidity also remained robust, with nearly 1.9 million shares traded.

CTR recorded its fourth consecutive increase, closing at VND131,200, with higher liquidity as 1.21 million CTR shares were traded.

On the northern bourse, the HNX-Index inched down by 0.62 points, or 0.27% day-on-day, at 226.88 points. There were 44.6 million shares changing hands worth VND786.7 billion.
