HCMC – Sacombank and Dai-ichi have partnered with the HCMC Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients and medical facilities to implement the “Free Eye Surgeries – Vision Restoration For Needy People” program from March to May of this year.

A budget of VND1 billion has been allocated to support 1,000 patients with cataracts in the provinces of Kien Giang, Lam Dong, and Tay Ninh.

This initiative to provide free eye surgeries for impoverished patients is part of the “Connect to Love – Happiness for Everyone” project, jointly undertaken by Sacombank and Dai-ichi Life Vietnam. The program commemorates their five-year exclusive bancassurance partnership from 2017 to 2022.

As part of the project, the two companies awarded scholarships worth VND250 million to 250 outstanding students in Quang Ninh, Quang Ngai, Thai Nguyen, Thua Thien-Hue, and Hanoi in October and November last year.

Additionally, they provided financial support for treatment costs and offered gifts totaling VND500 million to 25 child cancer patients undergoing treatment at the HCMC Oncology Hospital in December of last year.

As leaders in the field of financial protection and accumulation solutions, Sacombank and Dai-ichi Life Vietnam are committed to their roles and responsibilities towards the community and society.

In addition to these programs, Sacombank and Dai-ichi Life Vietnam have carried out numerous other meaningful activities, including providing homes for disadvantaged individuals, granting scholarships, and sponsoring clean water programs for schools.
