DANANG – Nearly 300 lodging facilities and over 50 tour operators in Danang City have resumed their operations to serve tourists during the New Year holiday.
In addition, nine of 16 tourist sites in the city have also reopened their doors. The reopening of these facilities indicated the recovery of the city’s tourism sector.
Many firms active in the tourism sector have launched various preferential packages and promotional programs to attract revelers, according to the Danang Department of Tourism.
Specifically, Mikazukia Water Park 365 will reduce the price of entry tickets by 30% from now until March 31, 2022, and offer lots of free services such as the Onsen bath and sauna, while several hotels, including InterContinental, Hyatt Regency and Pullman, are offering promotional packages for buffets and parties.
The Danang tourism authority has banned firms from taking advantage of the holiday to raise prices and fees, while asking lodging facilities to list room prices on the website, www.kekhaigia.danang.gov.vn.
The municipal department has ordered tour operators, lodging facilities and tourist sites to follow Covid safety protocols and ensure the health of employees and visitors during the New Year holiday.
During the Christmas and New Year holidays, some 284 domestic flights are expected to land in Danang City from HCMC, Hanoi, Dalat, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Buon Ma Thuot, Haiphong and Can Tho.
The city will see 27 flights operated by Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet and Bamboo Airways arrive on January 1, 2022.
