HCMC – A new Campus Sustainability Hub has been launched at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities under Vietnam National University HCMC (USSH-VNUHCM), giving students opportunities to build knowledge and skills for the green economy through collaboration with businesses and experts.
The Hub, introduced on September 22 in partnership with Dear Our Community, is structured as an educational ecosystem where students study theories of sustainability and apply them to business projects. They work with companies and industry specialists to strengthen practical skills relevant to the green economy.
Students take on management roles within the Hub, including external relations, community activities, and project operations. They also participate in training sessions, mentoring, and company projects, while accessing internships and entrepreneurship opportunities linked to sustainability-focused industries.
Dear Our Community connects students with professionals, businesses, and investors. Corporate partners provide case studies, internships, and jobs, while experts contribute through training and mentoring.
The Hub also functions as a space to display student projects and sustainable products from partner businesses. It is part of the university’s broader effort to integrate sustainability into education and student development.
According to Tran Nam, head of student affairs at USSH-VNUHCM, the Hub gives students access to knowledge, skills, and recruitment information in the field of sustainability. Dear Our Community founder, Vo Ngoc Tuyen, said students in Vietnam need early exposure to sustainability and practical engagement with pioneering companies as the country advances its green transition.
