HCMC – The Saigon Times Group, in coordination with Tuy An District People’s Committee, organized the “Phu Yen – Whispers of Rocks and Water” seminar on sustainable tourism in the central province of Phu Yen yesterday morning, November 18.
This is the first time a tourism seminar was held amid the natural setting of the unspoiled Vuc Hom Waterfall, a wonderfully scenic spot of Tuy An District, Phu Yen Province.
The speakers of the seminar, “Phu Yen – The Whispers of Rocks and Water”, comprised Nguyen Van Hoang, vice chairman of Tuy An District People’s Committee; Nguyen Danh Hanh, Phu Yen Management Board of Historic Sites; and Vo Hong Van, Assistant to the Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Times Group. In addition, “A little Vietnam” group, which has contributed to the green tourism development in Vietnam and planted trees in all 63 provinces and cities at the beginning of 2022, also spoke at the event.
Representatives of the Tuy An District Party’s Committee, Council’s Committee, other agencies and departments, as well as local people and tourism students in Phu Yen, also attended the seminar yesterday.
At the seminar, the speakers discussed and proposed solutions to preserve the value of geological heritage, promote tourism activities, and improve the locals’ living standards in Tuy An District and Phu Yen Province.
They emphasized the importance of tourism development in parallel with natural heritage preservation in the coming years.
The seminar also introduced some impressive tourist attractions with unique geological formations in Tuy An, namely Vuc Song – Vuc Hom waterfall cluster, Hon Yen Island, and O Loan lagoon.
Additionally, the participants could have chances to immerse themselves in nature and learn more about the structures of the striking basalt columns in the Vuc Hom waterfall.
