New trends shine at HCMC FOODEX 2024

The HCMC International Exhibition of Food & Beverages III – 2024, known as FOODEX 2024, attracted over 15,000 visitors from more than 15 countries and territories, alongside numerous local Vietnamese trade and retail attendees. Held from May 15-18 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, the event covered 8,000 square meters and featured more than 400 exhibitors and 500 domestic and international booths. FOODEX 2024 showcased a variety of emerging trends and business ideas, ranging from innovative foods to new packaging formats and twists on classic beverages, such as flavored milk tea in convenient, instant formats. Health-focused products were a clear highlight, reflecting the global trend towards healthy living. Exhibitors catered to the rising demand for wellness-boosting products, offering items like Vietnamese organic coffee and traditional tonics like bird’s nest. Evelyn Nguyen, sales assistant at Gwell Global Co. Ltd., a Japanese nuts company, introduced their health-conscious products: “Our nuts are low-sodium and healthy, very popular among many health-conscious people. We sell our products online on sites like Lazada and Shopee, and through business channels like hospitals and the healthcare sector.
