New driver for national development

On August 19, 250 projects with total investment capital of some VND1.3 quadrillion simultaneously got off the ground and were inaugurated at 80 locations across the country in celebration of the 80th anniversaries of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2). This is a big event with the huge investment capital and the large number of projects, manifesting the message of development, belief and aspiration for national rising in the new era. Among the 250 works and projects, 89 were inaugurated and 161 got off the ground. By “grade”, eight were projects of national importance, 46 were projects in group A, 155 in group B, and 41 in group C. The projects span multiple sectors, with 59 in transport infrastructure, 44 in civil and urban works, 57 in industry, 36 in technical infrastructure, 22 in social housing, and the rest in agriculture, culture, education, healthcare and national defense. Of note, the presence of 22 social housing projects, 12 educational works and 10 healthcare works shows that the development direction not only focuses on economic growth but also has a close attachment to ensuring social welfare and improving people’s lives.
