Health and wellness tourism fares well

After two years plagued by Covid-19, many people now tend to pay more attention to their health aside from relaxation and entertainment. Some travel firms have thus offered health and wellness tours based mainly on the nature. Though the pandemic has been contained for over one year now, its heavy impact on everybody has changed their thinking about health. Many travel companies believe that now is the best time for guests to seek a balance and re-energize themselves during their vacations. Hoang Anh Phuong, communication representative of MEDI Thien Son, a wellness resort in Hanoi’s outlying district of Ba Vi, says healing tourism has been launched recently. It is the combination of recreation tourism and healthcare services such as meditation, yoga, traditional medicine checkup and treatment, and macrobiotics, which help improve tourists’ physical and mental health. As one of the first resorts of this kind in northern Vietnam, MEDI Thien Son covers 450 hectares with pine forests, streams, lakes, waterfalls, natural vegetation and medicinal herbs, offering health and wellness tours that are favorite on the weekend.
