HCMC – The talk show “Key considerations for Vietnamese businesses amid new U.S. tariff policies” will be held on March 25, providing advice on navigating U.S. trade regulations, ensuring compliance, and enhancing export readiness.
It is part of the event series titled “New U.S. Tariff Policies and Vietnam’s Response,” held by Saigon Times Group in partnership with HM&P Law Firm.
With President Donald Trump back in the White House, global trade has entered a period of uncertainty as markets brace for shifts in U.S. tariff policy. Businesses and policymakers around the world are closely watching Washington for signs of stricter trade measures.
Amid ongoing global economic volatility, flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly have become critical for businesses to overcome challenges and sustain growth. This is also the general guidance issued by Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade to local enterprises.
Under the theme “Key Considerations for Vietnamese Businesses Amid New U.S. Tariff Policies”, the talk show will provide a platform for guest speakers to assess how well Vietnamese businesses—particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—understand the latest U.S. tariff regulations.
As representatives of international certification and inspection organizations, the speakers will also offer guidance for Vietnamese firms in the current trade environment, focusing on strict standards related to safety, environmental compliance, product origin, and import quality requirements.
The show will be moderated by Nguyen Van Phuc, managing partner at HM&P Law Firm, and will feature the participation of Nguyen Huu Nam, deputy general director of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), HCMC Branch, and Nguyen Nam Tran, head of the Business Assurance Business Unit at SGS Vietnam.
The talk show will be live-streamed on the Facebook pages of the Kinh Te Saigon Online (at https://www.facebook.com/kinhtesaigon.vn) and Saigon Tiep Thi (at https://www.facebook.com/sgtiepthi.vn) at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
