Tax debt in HCMC put at over VND4.6 trillion

HCMC – Companies and individuals in HCMC owe more than VND4.6 trillion in taxes and fees, the HCMC Tax Department reported.

The taxman’s report highlights the issue of widespread tax debt in the city.

Xuyen Viet Oil Travel and Transport Trading Company has the largest tax debt, at VND1.67 trillion.

Other firms with high tax arrears include Long Hung Trading and Services Company with over VND179 billion, Hiep Hung Shoe Company with VND128 billion, Timatex Company with more than VND118 billion, and Transport Engineering Construction & Business Investment JSC 584 with over VND95 billion.

Real estate and construction companies also feature prominently on the list. Housing Development and Trading JSC owes over VND330 billion.

Thu Duc Housing Development Corporation owes more than VND91.7 billion, No.8 Investment and Construction JSC VND145 billion, and Truong Thinh Phat Investment Construction Real Estate Corporation over VND89 billion.

Other significant tax debtors include AA Corporation with over VND58 billion, and Cotec Investment and Construction JSC and Khai Thinh Real Estate JSC with more than VND37 billion each.
