For over five years, TCP Vietnam has actively implemented long-term strategies to support the holistic development of Vietnamese youth while committing to environmental protection and corporate social responsibility. Aligned with the global strategy of TCP Group, these efforts showcase the company’s dedication to innovation, sustainability, and community involvement.
Empowering Vietnamese youth
TCP Vietnam made a notable impact with its “Workers’ Youth Festival – Spreading Positive Energy” program. In May 2024, this initiative reached over 12,000 young workers across six provinces and cities, including Danang, Haiphong, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Bac Giang, and Nghe An. As part of the festival, 7,500 workers received free health check-ups, and 48 teams participated in the Workers’ Youth Football Tournament – Red Bull Cup.
In addition to this, TCP Vietnam has supported the “Shining Vietnamese Willpower” program and the “Living Beautifully Youth” award for four consecutive years. In partnership with the Central Youth Union of Vietnam, these programs have honored over 130 “Living Beautifully” youths and 200 exceptional young people nationwide, inspiring Vietnam’s younger generation to strive for excellence.
Moving forward, TCP Vietnam, along with its brands Red Bull and Warrior, will continue collaborating with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Federation, and the Vietnam Student Association. Together, they plan to implement initiatives such as the “Vietnam University Games (VUG)” and establish “Youth Sports Spaces – Energizing Youth, Boosting Strength,” demonstrating their commitment to supporting Vietnamese youth beyond business activities.
Collaborating with Government and community organizations
Since its entering the Vietnamese market in 2018, TCP Vietnam as a subsidiary of Thailand’s F&B group TCP has integrated itself into local communities through strong collaborations with government bodies, socio-political organizations, and local authorities. These partnerships include alliances with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Federation, the Vietnam Student Association, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, among others.
TCP Vietnam and the Central Youth Union of Vietnam have signed cooperation agreements for 2020-2022 and 2023-2025, which encompass several youth-focused initiatives. These include the “Workers’ Youth Festival,” the “Shining Vietnamese Willpower” program, and the “Living Beautifully Youth” award, all designed to spread positivity and inspire societal change.
TCP Vietnam emphasizes that building successful social programs requires collaboration and consensus among various stakeholders. By closely partnering with government bodies and community organizations, the company has been able to effectively implement its social initiatives and bring about lasting change.
Environmental stewardship: a collaborative effort
TCP Vietnam is also committed to environmental protection through collaborative initiatives. For example, in the “TCP – Journey for a Green Vietnam” program, the company worked with the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Youth Union and the Forest Management Board to plant trees in the Binh Chau-Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve. The Forest Management Board continues to monitor the growth of the trees and provide regular updates.
In June 2024, TCP Vietnam completed Phase 2 of the program, planting an additional 2,400 hardwood trees, bringing the total number to 2,700. With a 100% survival rate, these trees contribute to the Prime Minister’s initiative to plant one billion trees.
The “TCP – Journey for a Green Vietnam” program enhances forest ecosystems, promotes socio-economic development, and helps mitigate the effects of climate change. By raising awareness among young people and company employees about the importance of environmental protection, the program further solidifies TCP Vietnam’s efforts to create a sustainable future for the country.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Vu Minh Ly, deputy director of the Center for Natural Resources and Environmental Communication under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, said, “After three years of implementing the Prime Minister’s one-billion-tree initiative, nearly 770 million trees have been planted nationwide, thanks to the collective efforts of businesses, organizations, and citizens.”
He added, “The 2,700 trees planted through this program not only represent a meaningful contribution to the one-billion-tree initiative but also reaffirm TCP Group’s and TCP Vietnam’s commitment to environmental protection, climate change mitigation, and sustainability for the people of Vietnam.”
