HCMC – Thu Dau Mot Water Joint Stock Company, which is listed on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange under the stock code TDM, has reported its substantial revenue and profit in the January-November period.
The company’s revenue between January and November reached around VND541.6 billion, up 19% over the same period last year.
Specifically, water production revenue rose by 97% year-on-year to VND419.1 billion. Revenue from financial activities totaled over VND112 billion, a 6.1-fold increase against the year-ago period.
As a result, the company posted profit of VND274.7 billion in the 11-month period, surging by 38% over the same period last year. With the positive business performance, TDM has obtained 92% of the annual profit target in 2023.
Closing the trading session today, December 8, TDM inched down by 0.24% day-on-day to VND40,900.
The southern bourse witnessed a notable divergence among stocks, while the VN-Index maintained the 1,120-point range with the active support of the three blue-chip stocks, namely BID, MSN and MWG.
With 283 advancers and 221 decliners, the benchmark stock index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange added 2.95 points, or 0.26%, against yesterday’s session, at 1,124.44 points.
Over 819.1 million shares worth VND17.7 trillion changed hands, down by 38.35% in volume and 35.36% in value against the previous session. Block deal transactions contributed VND2 trillion to the overall value, with more than 81.49 million shares traded.
The index of the VN30 basket increased by 3.5 points, with 13 stocks rising and 13 others declining. Notably, MSN, MWG, and BID closed the trading session up by 3-4%.
VIX and VND both fell into negative territory due to a decline of 1.4%. They were among the top five stocks in terms of trading volume, with 23.88 million and 20.89 million shares transacted, respectively.
On the northern bourse, the HNX-Index lost 0.64 points, or 0.27%, at 231.2 points. There were more than 90.16 million shares transacted on the bourse today, with a total value of VND1.68 trillion.
