Located approximately 30 kilometers from downtown Nha Trang City, Ha Lien Village carries a rich history spanning over 370 years. Historical records indicate that it was founded in 1653, during the southward expansion under Lord Nguyen Phuc Tan.
Today, Ha Lien Village is home to 333 households and 1,128 residents, with aquaculture and seafood harvesting serving as the community’s primary means of livelihood.

From above, Ha Lien Village—tucked within Ninh Ha Ward, Ninh Hoa Town, Khanh Hoa Province—strikingly resembles a kite, its main road winding gracefully through expansive aquaculture ponds. Encircling the village are lush mangrove forests, a vital lifeline for locals who rely on them for fishing and shrimp harvesting. These forests also serve as a natural shield, protecting the community from harsh weather conditions.
Visitors can immerse themselves in the rhythms of village life—casting nets alongside fishermen, harvesting seafood in the lagoon, taking boat trips around the tranquil waters, or exploring the daily routines of this tight-knit, fishing-focused community.
