Da Bia Mountain, also known as Thach Bi Son, is an iconic landmark in the south-central province of Phu Yen. Its name means “mountain of stone stele.”
Located in Hoa Xuan Nam Commune, Dong Hoa District, this 706-meter peak is reached after a 27km drive south from Tuy Hoa City on National Highway 1A, followed by a 2.5km hike through lush rainforest.
At the summit, a colossal freestanding boulder dominates the landscape, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding jungles and coastline, including the scenic road winding over Ca Pass.
Da Bia Mountain holds spiritual significance for local communities, including the Cham and Ede people. The mountain is a promising destination for cultural and ecological tourism. Since 2001, the stone-paved path to the summit has made the mountain more accessible to domestic and international visitors.
