HCMC – Haiphong on January 15 started construction of three industrial park projects with total investment capital of nearly VND20 trillion, aiming to build synchronized technical infrastructure and support growth in services, logistics, trade, and urban development.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held by the municipal government in coordination with investors as part of activities marking the upcoming 14th National Party Congress slated for January 19-25. City officials said the projects are expected to enhance Haiphong’s investment appeal and boost local socio-economic development.
The largest project is Tien Lang Industrial Park 1, developed by Asia Pacific Sustainable Green Development Corporation. The park covers nearly 597 hectares with a total of VND13.06 trillion needed for infrastructure development. Zone A is scheduled to start operations in 2027, followed by Zone B in 2029.
The project is designed to meet growing demand for industrial land, reduce fragmented production, and improve environmental and security conditions. It is expected to support economic growth in Hung Thang Commune and the wider Tien Lang area.
The second project is Tien Lang Airport Industrial Park – Zone B, with investment of nearly VND2.8 trillion by C.E.O Industrial Park Development JSC.
Located within the southern coastal economic zone of Haiphong, the project is expected to help shift the local economy from agriculture to industry and services. Planned as an eco-industrial park, it aims to attract high-quality investment in electronics, mechanical engineering, automotive and high-tech industries.
The third project is Vinh Quang Industrial Park (Phase 1), developed by IDICO Vinh Quang JSC with investment of more than VND3.5 trillion.
Once fully operational, the park is expected to contribute about VND1.19 trillion to the state budget through value-added and corporate income taxes. Total revenue is projected at around VND7.69 trillion, supporting Haiphong’s industrialization and modernization goals.
